Pendennis Trophy - Previous years
2017
This year on the 10th of November 2017 Roy Norton was awarded the
Pendennis trophy, for work done in achieving charitable status in the club and ongoing work into the new clubroom.
2016
This year on the 11th of November 2016 Neil Fairbairn was awarded the
Pendennis trophy, for his role as Treasurer over the last 10 years, it was especially
pointed out about the work that he performs in his counting house at Railex where he never
seems to get a break over the 2 days. He has now stepped down from this role.
2015
This year on the 6th of November 2015 Phil Baxendale was awarded the
Pendennis trophy, for being one of the Club's core of group of members who when
hands (or wheels) are needed is there, ever cheerful, ever helpful. He done much
to promote and share fine-scale modelling within the Club as well as
representing the Club in the wider 18.83mm modelling community.
2014
This year on the 7th of November 2014 Anthony Mead was awarded the Pendennis trophy, for his work as webmaster on both the Club websites, working as part of the exhibition management teams on both Risex and Railex, organising Club of social events of talks and meals.
2013
This year on the 15th of November 2013 Jon Hill was awarded the Pendennis trophy, he has reinvigorated work on Okehampton and his skills have also led to the rectifying the Aylesbury platform construction. He has actively contributed to Risex, Railex and Scaleforum (attending for the club and volunteering the use of his van). Overall, he has made a major contribution to the club since he joined (and he makes an excellent cup of tea!)
2012
This year on the 9th of November 2012 Harry Tame was awarded the Pendennis
trophy, who had joined three years ago and had just joined in and his modelling had come on. It was noted he likes the noisy end of the modelling table.
2011
This year on the 11th of November 2011 Anthony Mead was awarded the Pendennis trophy, for his role of organising all of the social events at the club.
